Course description: You might be pleasantly surprised how you can contribute to research in the field! In this informal webinar, Rogene and Mark will discuss various ways that neurofeedback practitioners can collaborate to share data and publish research. This will include a brief overview of research design, concepts of citizen science, the creation of an online data warehouse available to participating researchers and collaborators, and practical steps for working together for both retrospective research on historical practice data as well as future multi-site IRB approved human subjects research around specific protocols.

Mark S. Jones, DMin, LPC, LMFT, BCN, QEEGD
Dr. Jones is an adjunct professor and Director of the Neurofeedback Program in the Counseling Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he trains master and doctoral level students in neurofeedback and conducts research. He is founder of the Well Mind Center a counseling and neurofeedback practice, and is president of ISNR, past president of the Biofeedback Society of Texas, and member of Sigma Xi.
Rogene Eichler West, PhD
Dr. Rogene M. Eichler West, Ph.D., QEEGD is a computational neuroscientist, educator, and technologist. She is a Senior Research Scientist in Cognitive and Behavioral Modeling at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where her research involves the development of dynamical system analysis and machine learning methods for classification and prediction. She serves an associate editor at the Sage journal publication, Clinical EEG and Neuroscience. She is also a Principal at Northwest Neuro Professionals, LLC, where she offers quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG)-based functional brain consulting to attorneys and clinicians concerning markers associated with traumatic brain injuries and mental health status, and IQCB mentoring. She was previously a founding partner at Brain Health Northwest, LLC., a clinical psychology/neuroscience firm in Seattle Washington that specialized in the use of quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG)-based functional brain assessments and neurotherapies such as neurofeedback for the treatment of brain/mental health issues.
