An Update on CPT Coding and

Insurance Reimbursement Efforts

Tuesday, October 22, 2024

12:00 noon Eastern Time

Please attend this presentation live as it will NOT be recorded.

Presenter:  Mark Trullinger, PhD

You may register through either ISNR's or AAPB's platform. It does not matter through which one you register; we will all be meeting in the same Zoom room!

Description:

The goal of this webinar is to provide members with updates on CPT coding and insurance reimbursement efforts. To achieve this, the first part will focus on recent changes in insurance policies, such as VA coverage and updates to Medicare policies for biofeedback, and how these changes affect correct CPT coding for Medicare billing. Additionally, we will provide an update on efforts to secure CPT codes that accurately describe biofeedback procedures. These codes will ensure that licensed providers can submit claims recognized by the AMA CPT Editorial Panel and go through the RUC valuation process to determine Medicare reimbursement amounts.

This webinar will be a joint webinar between ISNR and AAPB and is offered only to members of either organization.

Presenter:

Mark Trullinger, PhD, BCN, QEEG-D, Registered Psychology Associate is the managing director of NeuroThrive, LLC. He has attended and continues to attend the AMA CPT editorial panel meetings as a representative of ISNR and AAPB. He is working to code changes to update the CPT codes and work toward insurance reimbursement for the past 8 years. He has also helped many providers survive insurance audits and work toward Mental Health Parity.
